Flower Affair
I've recently nurtured a healthy affinity for shooting flowers, which if you know me means I've developed a floral obsession. It's weird because I've never really been that interested before. Big wide sky, ominous clouds, city-scapes at night were subjects that got my juices going not gardens and petals .

But a couple years ago when I picked up my first mobile device with a DECENT camera I started shooting everything, including flowers and the first time I got a close up macro shot at the airport, I was absolutely hooked as you can see from an earlier post.
I've always thought of myself as a story teller. I write and draw and paint but when I shoot I'm usually looking for the profound and simple story of everyday beauty. It's all around us; yet we take it for granted only noticing spectacular sunsets or rainbows and I'm not knocking them, I love that shit too but there is so much more that goes unnoticed.
They say "stop and smell the roses" and they're right. If we took the time to appreciate we'd see shear beauty in the mundane. We'd see the struggle for life as nature adapts to us and strikes a balance redefining the term urban jungle.
