2012 through the HTC Lens
Well it's the 2012 wrap up and as I look back on an amazing year, the thing that jumps up at me is how much of the year was captured, not by my primary photo tool, my lovely Canon but by my mobile device. The ubiquitous lens of phone cameras seem to be everywhere, much to Mitt Romney's annoyance. But I was surprised at how much I embraced the ease and ever presence of my HTC Android 8 megapixel camera, something I've always considered just an add on.
Below are some of my more memorable pics of 2012. It shall serve as an inspiration for me to shoot more with my T3i.
These are an assortment of floral shots in and about New York. From the vibrant purple at the airport to the bubble bee with NYC in the background.

Now of course there is a trade off, my phone is always with me so I can quickly grab that unexpected shot but quality and control suffer, I mean after all it is a phone. Or is it? Funny how we easily call these handheld computers that just happen to also make calls; phones.
Working at the airport opens up a world of possibilities. The beauty of aviation, technology and design.

The Space Shuttle Enterprise as she's being prepared for her final voyage to the Air and Sea Museum Intrepid in NYC.
And next to the right the sun rises on a E190 Embraer as it's about to be fueled, loaded and boarded for the first day's flight out of JFK International.
New York's inter-connective railway system, linking busy New Yorkers to almost every point of interest, including Queens, seen below.
So I'll conclude this post with a few pics of Barcelona, which you may have seen in another post.

So I say goodbye to 2012 and prepare for the adventure that is life, armed with my handy camera/phone/mobile device thing, my real camera and big dreams for the future.
Namaste people.
